Top Sirloin With Onions & Carrots

4 slices bacon

4 small onions, peeled & cut

8 carrots

4 potatoes

½ cup beef broth

¼ cup beer

1 Tablespoon brown sugar

1 teaspoon dried Thyme

1 ¼ pound steak

¼ teaspoon salt

¼ teaspoon pepper

Fry bacon until crisp.  Remove from pan.  In skillet brown onions and set aside.  Add carrots & cook, then remove from pan.  Add potatoes, broth, beer, brown sugar, and ½  teaspoon dried thyme.  Return onion and carrots.  Simmer till done.  Season steak and place on grill till cooked.
