Rice Krispies Treats

¼ cup butter
1 package (10 oz size or 40 regular size marshmallows or 4 cups miniature marshmallows
6 cups Rice Krispies cereal
Melt butter in large saucepan over low heat. Add marshmallows and stir until completely melted.
Add Rice Krispies ceral. Stir until well coated. Using buttered spatula or waxed paper, press mixture evenly onto a buttered 9x 13” pan. Cut into squares when cool.
Variations: Add 1 cup raisins with cereal or stir ¼ cup peanut butter into marshmallow mixture just before adding cereal or add Christmas sprinkles (red & green)
