Onion Sauce

2 T vegetable oil
2 onions, cut in half then into 1/4-inch slices
1/3 C ketchup
1/2 tsp chili powder
1/8 tsp ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp salt
dash of hot pepper sauce
1 C water

In a medium skillet over medium heat, heat oil until hot; add onions and sauté eight to ten minutes or until golden and tender. Add ketchup, chili powder, cinnamon, salt, and hot pepper sauce; mix well. Stir in water and bring mixture to a boil. Reduce heat to low and simmer, uncovered, eight to ten minutes or until mixture is heated through
