Unstuffed Cabbage
1 small head cabbage ( finely chopped)
1 pound ground turkey, chicken, or hamburger
½ cup chopped onion
¾ cup instant rice
1 teaspoon salt and pepper
2- 10 ounce cans tomato soup
2 cups water
½ cup parmesan cheese, grated
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Brown ground meat with onion. Stir in rice, salt and pepper. Put chopped cabbage in bottom of a well greased 9 x 13 pan. Spoon browned meat mixture on top cabbage. Mix soup and water and pour over top of cabbage and meat evenly. Sprinkle with parmesan cheese on top. Cover pan tightly with heavy duty Aluminum foil and bake for 90 minutes.
