Refrigerator Pickles (Revised)
6 cups sliced cucumbers (do not peel)
1 cup sliced onion
2 cups raw carrots, cut into small sticks or rounds
1 sliced green pepper
1 cup vinegar
2 cups sugar
1 Tablespoon canning salt
1 Tablespoon celery seed
1 Tablespoon mustard seed
Slice all fresh vegetables and put in a gallon jar. Mix vinegar, sugar and spices. Pour over vegetables. Refrigerate 24 hours. Shake; ready to use.
