Pineapple Pretzel Salad Dessert
Pretzel crust:
½ stick butter/margarine, softened
½ cup sugar
2 cups crushed pretzels
2nd layer:
2-8 ounce packages cream cheese (lite okay)
1 large Cool Whip (lite okay)
½ cup sugar
3rd. layer:
2 cans crushed pineapple
2 T. cornstarch
Blend together; butter, ½ cup sugar and crushed pretzels. Press the pretzel mixture into a 9x 13 pan, bake 350 degree oven for 10 minutes, let cool. Mix together; cream cheese, cool whip and ½ cup sugar, pour over pretzel mixture.
Mix together; pineapple with juice and cornstarch in a small saucepan and bring to a boil until thickened. Pour warm pineapple mixture over the cream cheese layer. Refrigerate till ready to serve, store leftovers in fridge.
