Marinated Vegetable Salad
1 C sugar
3/4 C vinegar
1/2 C vegetable oil
1/2 tsp pepper
1 16 oz can white corn - drained
1 16 oz can French style green beans - drained
1 16 oz can peas - drained
1 small jar pimentos, finely chopped
1 green pepper, finely chopped
1 C celery, finely chopped
1 C onions, finely chopped
Mix first four ingredients together, bring to a boil and cool. Mix corn, green beans, and peas together. Add remaining ingredients and mix well. Pour oil mixture over vegetables. Refrigerate 24 hours. The longer it stands, the better the flavor.
