Strawberry Dump Cobbler  

 

2 quarts fresh strawberries, washed & hulled  

1/2 cup (1 stick) butter  

1 egg, lightly beaten

1 cup flour  

1 cup sugar  

1 cup milk

 2 teaspoons baking powder

1/2 teaspoon salt  

4 ounces cream cheese, cut into small pieces    

1.Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Melt butter and pour into a 13 x 9-inch baking pan.

2.Mix egg, flour, sugar, milk, baking powder, and salt. Pour on top of butter, but do not mix.

3.Place strawberries in a single layer across top. If some berries are very large, cut them in half.

4.Distribute cream cheese pieces evenly over top.

Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until top is golden brown.
