Nutty Chocolate Chip Cake

½ cup semisweet chocolate chips
1/3 cup brown sugar
1/3 cup chopped pecans
1 box devil’s food cake mix, water, vegetable oil and eggs called for on the cake mix box.

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Mix chocolate chips, brown sugar and pecans; set aside.

Mix up cake mix as per directions on box; pour into greased cake pan, sprinkle chocolate chip mixture on top of cake batter. Bake as directed on box until toothpick comes out clean.
