Microwave Chocolate Pie

1 1/2 C sugar
3 heaping T cocoa
2 T cornstarch
pinch salt
4 egg yolks (save the whites for meringue)
12 oz can evaporated milk

For filling: Mix together in microwave-safe bowl, microwave two minutes, WHISK.  Then two more minutes, WHISK. Then one minute, add one teaspoon vanilla, 1/2 stick (1/4 cup) butter, WHISK.  Put in baked pie shell. Top with meringue (recipe below) and bake in 375-degree oven till brown.

For meringue: Beat room temperature egg whites, pinch salt, 1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar till soft peaks add two teaspoon sugar at eight intervals. Cover top of pie.
