Fresh Fruit Sundaes Dessert
2 T butter
1/4 C packed brown sugar
2 C sliced fresh peaches, plums, apricots, or strawberries
1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
Vanilla ice cream
1/2 C toasted chopped walnuts or pecans
Heat the butter in a skillet over moderate heat and stir in the brown sugar until dissolved. Add the fruit and cinnamon and saute just until the fruit begins to soften, about three minutes. Spoon over scoops of vanilla ice cream and top with toasted nuts.
