Cinnamon 'N Apple Spice Flip Over

Topping:
4 cups peeled and thinly sliced apples
1 cup sugar
2 tbsp. butter
1 tsp. cinnamon

Cake:
1 pkg. (18 oz.) yellow or Butter Recipe cake mix with pudding added
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1 cup water
1/3 cup cooking oil
3 eggs

In large saucepan, combine topping ingredients and cook over low to medium heat, until apples are tender, stirring frequently. Spread over bottom of greased and floured 9 x 13 inch pan. In large mixer bowl, blend cake ingredients and prepare according to directions on the package. Pour over apples in pan. Bake at 350º for about 40 to 45 minutes, or until toothpick inserted near the center, comes out clean.

Immediately invert cake onto serving plate. Serve warm, or cool. If desired, serve with spoon of whipped cream, or topping on the top.
