Cherries In The Snow
8 oz cream cheese, softened - fat free works fine
1 cup sifted powdered sugar
12 oz tub Cool Whip, thawed
8 cups 1" angel food cake cubes
20 oz can cherry pie filling
Beat cream cheese at medium speed of a mixer until smooth. Gradually add powdered sugar, beating until blended. Gently fold in whipped topping. Place half of cake cubes in a large glass bowl. Top with half the cheese mixture. Spread half of cherry pie filling over cheese mixture. Repeat layers in same order.
Cover and chill. A ready-made angel food cake will work just fine for this recipe.
