2013 German Coffee Cake  

 

3 eggs

1 cup butter

1 1/2 cups sugar

2 Cups flour

1/2 tsp salt

1 tsp. Vanilla

1 can apple pie filling*

Cinnamon sugar

Powdered sugar

 

Beat eggs, sugar and butter in a bowl. Add salt, flour, and vanilla. Stir till mixed well. Pour half of mixture into a 9X13 greased cake pan. Put pie filling on top of this layer Dot remaining mixture onto pie filling. Sprinkle with cinnamon sugar. Bake at 350 for 45 minutes. Dust with powdered sugar if desired.

 

*or any type you prefer, cherry, or blueberry etc.

 

I also added an additional can of pie filling but then have to add about 15 minutes to the baking time.
