Good Ice Melt

Instead of using salt or Ice Melt on y our sidewalks ,  use some dry fertilizer.  The kind you use on your lawn in the summertime.  The fertilizer will not ruin the sidewalk and in the spring, the grass will grow rapidly because of the dissolved fertilizer that has run into the grass.
