Bacon Dog Biscuits

 

1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour

1 cup all-purpose flour

1 cup skim milk powder

1/3 cup bacon drippings

1 large egg

1 cup cold water

 

 Combine both flours and milk powder in large bowl.  Drizzle with fat.  Add egg and cold water.  

Mix well to form dough {if the dough is too sticky, add flour until it reaches a suitable consistency for rolling}.  

Turn out onto a lightly floured surface.  Roll out to 1/2 inch thickness.  Cut with bone-shaped cookie cutters

Place on an ungreased baking sheet and bake at 300 degrees for 60 minutes.  

Makes about 3 dozen cookies, depending on the size of the cookie cutter
