Stuffed Hamburger Rolls

1 loaf French Bread
1 lb ground beef
1/4 tsp salt
1 C cubed American cheese
1/8 tsp pepper
1/4 C chopped onion
1 can cream of chicken soup

Brown meat, onion, salt, and pepper.  Cut loaf of bread in half lengthwise.  Hollow out both halves.  Combine breadcrumbs, cheese, soup, and meat.  Fill carved out bread loaf with meat mixture.  Place other half of bread loaf on top.  Wrap in foil.  Bake 35 minutes at 350 degrees.  Slice and serve.
