Pork Chops Ole' Recipe  

 

6 pork chops (1/2" thick)

2 tbsp. cooking oil

Seasoned salt & pepper, to taste

3/4 cup uncooked long-grain rice

1-1/2 cup water

1 can (8 oz.) tomato sauce

2 tbsp. taco seasoning mix

1 medium green pepper, chopped

1/2 cup shredded Cheddar cheese  

In large skillet, brown pork chops (I use the kind with bone in them) in the oil. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.

Meanwhile, in a greased 9 x 12" baking pan, combine rice, water, tomato sauce and taco seasoning and mix well.

Arrange chops over rice and top with green pepper. Cover and bake for 1-1/2 hrs. at 350.

Uncover and sprinkle with cheese and return to oven until it melts.
