Dinner Rolls

Dissolve thoroughly till bubbly:

2 Tablespoons dry yeast

1/3 cup warm water

Add these ingredients and mix well:

2 cups scalded milk

2 eggs

2/3 cup sugar

2/3 cup oil or melted shortening.

Add:

7 cups flour, Mix well. 

Dough should be medium stiff and form ball in bowl.  Cover and let rise in a warm place till double in size.  Shape into rolls and place on a greased baking sheet.  Let rise again till double in size.  Bake 425 degrees for 10 minutes. 

 

Yields 48-60 rolls
