Wild Plum Pudding Cake

1 cup wild plums (pitts removed

1 egg, beaten

½ cup butter

1 cup sugar

1 teaspoon cinnamon

½ teaspoon allspice

1 cup chopped nuts

Stir together, add 5 Tablespoons sour milk with 1 teaspoon soda dissolved in small bowl, add 1 cup flour.  Bake like cake in greased small cake pan 8”OR 9”. (350 degrees about 25 minutes)

HARD SAUCE

1 Cup sugar

1 tablespoon flour

½ cup butter

Put in saucepan, Pour in 2 cups boiling water and boil to cook.  Flavor with Rum extract.  Use over cake.  Whipped topping is also good.
