Old Fashion Salsa

 

5 quarts of peeled and chopped tomatoes
4 onions, chopped
2 garlic bulbs, minced
3 cups chopped green peppers  (all color varieties)
1 cup apple cider vinegar
¼ cup salt
2 Tablespoons celery seed
2 Tablespoons mustard seed
2 Tablespoons basil
1 Tablespoon Oregano
chopped jalapeno, 1 to 3 cups---depending how hot you enjoy it.

Mix, simmer for 15 minutes.  Fill sterile pint jars, puts lids on, place jars in boiling water for 15 minutes.
NOTE:  Please use currant canning methods when making this recipe, otherwise make it as you use it and store leftover’s in the fridge.
