Apple Cinnamon Syrup

½ cup packed brown sugar
1/3 cup water
2 Tablespoon butter/margarine
1 Teaspoon cornstarch
½ teaspoon cinnamon
3 medium apples, peeled & sliced

Bring brown sugar, water, butter, cornstarch,  cinnamon to a boil; boil till thick, about 2 minutes.  Stir in apples; cook till tender, 10 to 12 minutes.
