Salted Peanut Bars

3 egg yolks

1 cup sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla

1 cup flour

6 Tablespoons water (equal to a scant ½ cup)

2 teaspoon baking powder

¼ tsp. salt

3 egg whites beaten

Beat egg whites and set aside.  Beat well egg yolks, sugar and vanilla.

Sift flour, baking powder and salt, add alternately to egg mixture with water. 

Fold in beaten egg whites.  Bake in greased 9x13 greased pan for 18-20 minutes.   

Cool.  Frost with powdered sugar frosting and sprinkle with salted peanuts. 

Cut in squares and serve. (I use Spanish salted peanuts )
