Chocolate Cobbler

Melt 2 sticks of butter/margarine in 9 x 13 pan.

Mix together in bowl:
1 ½ cups sugar
1 ½ cups self rising flour OR (1 ½ cup all-purpose flour, ½ teaspoon salt, 2 teaspoon baking powder, ¼ teaspoon baking soda)
1 teaspoon vanilla
¾ cup milk, plus a smidgen (mine was not quite a cup)
Pour this mixture (it will be like a cake batter consistency)  over melted butter  DO NOT STIR!!!

In another bowl mix:
1 cup sugar
5 Tablespoon cocoa
Sprinkle this mixture over above mixture.  DO NOT MIX INTO INGREDIENTS ALREADY IN PAN….JUST SPRINKLE.

Add 2 cup boiling water over the top of all the above DO NOT MIX; just pour over.

Bake at 350 degrees uncovered 35-45 minutes.  (mine took 40 minutes)

Serve warm or cold with Cool Whip or vanilla ice cream.
