Banana Split Salad or Dessert

12 oz carton Cool Whip, thawed
1 can sweetened condensed milk
1 can peach pie filling
1/2 C maraschino cherries, cut in half
8 oz can pineapple chunks, drained
3 bananas, sliced
1/2 C chopped nuts

Combine Cool Whip and condensed milk in bowl and mix well. Fold in remaining ingredients and chill in refrigerator.  My notes: I chop the peaches in the pie filling before adding to the salad so it spreads out through the salad.  I slice my bananas into my drained pineapple juice, then drain and add them last. It helps to keep them from turning brown.
