Chocolate Brownie Cake

¾ cup butter or margarine

2 cups granulated sugar

1 ½ cups boiling water

Combine butter & sugar, add boiling water, and stir to dissolve.

 

Add in order:

2 cups all-purpose flour

2 teaspoons baking soda

½ cups cocoa

Dash of salt

Combine flour, soda, cocoa & salt, then add to above sugar mixture.

 

Add:

2 beaten eggs & 1 teaspoon vanilla to the above mixture and stir.  Pour into ungreased 9x 13 cake pan.  Bake at 350 degree oven for about 35 minutes.  May be served frosted or not.
