Frozen Cranberry Salad

2 C cranberries (fresh or canned whole berry cranberry sauce)
1 medium orange
1 C granulated sugar
1- 9 oz can crushed pineapple, well drained
8 oz cream cheese
1/2 C chopped pecans
1 C whipped cream
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 C mayonnaise

Grind fresh cranberries and orange. Add sugar. Stir until sugar is dissolved. In a separate bowl, mix pineapple, cream cheese, mayonnaise, and salt. Beat until light and fluffy. Fold in whipped cream. Stir in the ground cranberries, orange, sugar mixture, and the nuts. Turn into a pretty glass dish and freeze until firm.
