Pumpkin French Toast

12 slices of sandwich bread
1/2 cup of milk
3/4 cup of canned pumpkin
3 eggs
1 tsp of pumpkin pie spice
butter and syrup for serving

In a medium mixing bowl, whisk the milk, pumpkin, eggs, and pumpkin pie spice together until smooth.  Dip each side of the bread into the batter and place on a hot, greased skillet or griddle.  Cook each side until the coating begins to brown.  Serve hot with butter and syrup.

Fun Tips:  Cut the Pumpkin Pie French Toast with Halloween cookie cutters for a kid-friendly treat.  freeze to eat later by cooling completely and then storing in the freezer. Reheat when ready to enjoy.
