Mild Salsa Recipe

 



Ingredients
4 quarts tomatoes, chopped and most juice and seeds removed

Put in blender and blend and chop together:
1 extra large onion
1 bell pepper
2 hot peppers, seeds removed
2 6 oz. cans tomato paste
1 tablespoon garlic
2 cups lemon juice
2 tablespoons sea salt
1 teaspoon black pepper
1 tablespoon sugar

Directions
Add to tomatoes and cook over medium heat 30 minutes or until very hot. Put in pint jars and process in canner for 20 minutes at 10 pounds pressure.
Makes approximately 10 pints.

If like spicy, can add more peppers, 1 tablespoon oregano and 1/4 teaspoon cumin.
