Creamy Bacon & Cheese Dip

16 ounces of sour cream

8 ounces of cream cheese, softened

2 cups (8 oz) shredded cheddar cheese

1 jar (3 oz) bacon bits

1 cup chopped green onions

1 envelope onion soup mix

Crackers and/or fresh vegetables for dipping

Preheat oven to 400 degrees.   In a mixing bowl, stir sour cream and cream cheese, onions and soup mix.  Pour into a 2 quart baking dish.  Cover and bake in oven 25 to 30 minutes or until hot and bubbly.  To serve, place in the center of a platter and surround with crackers or assorted vegetables.
